Local lad and PNE fan Kian Taylor had his one-year option triggered by the club at the end of his two-year scholarship, to keep him at the club until at least 2024.
Having the ability to play at centre back, right wing back and in midfield, Taylor has proven a very reliable player over the course of his two years representing the U19s.
He had a huge part to play in the league and cup winning success of 2021/22 and Kian also got the experience every North End fan probably dreams on: scoring a winner against fierce rivals Blackpool.
Kian went from strength to strength in the following campaign, establishing himself mainly in the centre of a back three, and by the end of the season 'KT' was training relatively regularly with the first team.
He'll be eligible to play for the U19s during the 2023/24 campaign, but no doubt his preference would be to pull on the shirt as a first team player at Deepdale.
