Following a review by an FA judiciary panel, a unanimous decision was made to charge Paul Huntington with violent conduct for an incident in the 17th minute of Wednesday night's game which was missed by match official Jarred Gillett and his team.
The charge will see the North End defender suspended for the next three fixtures, beginning with Saturday's trip to Huddersfield Town.
Huntington will be available for selection again from the Brentford fixture on Tuesday 14th July.
