Northern Ireland Striker Andy Little Signs For Preston North End

21 June 2014

Simon Grayson has made his latest summer signing by agreeing a two-year deal with Northern Ireland international forward Andy Little.

Little, who has spent eight years with Scottish giant Glasgow Rangers, joins the Club having played a big role as the Teddy Bears have risen back up the leagues north of the border.

Scoring over 30 goals in the past two seasons, Little, 25, can play as a front man or from a number of other attacking positions and will join the rest of the squad for the start of training on July 3rd.

Speaking about his latest recruit, who has eight caps for his country, being Enniskillen born, manager Simon Grayson said: “Andy has a fantastic goal record in Scotland and he can handle playing for a big club, as he has shown with Rangers. He is also an international player.

“He is good age and has some good qualities that we are looking for in the squad. He will bring real pace to the striking department and that is something we have been looking to add and I am delighted that he has chosen us over quite a few other teams.

“Snods [Glynn Snodin] has worked with him before, with Northern Ireland and Billy McKinlay who is the assistant there has also given him good reports. We have had games watched in Scotland and he fits into the balance of the squad we are trying to create here.”
